DAY 2
Your day will be spent exploring the fascinating Borromean Islands.
Isola Madre is the largest of the islands, located just off the coast of Pallanza on the other side of the gulf. It is known for its particular botanical garden with rare spieces of plants and trees from all corners of the world.
Then you will stop in Isola Pescatori, the only island which still belongs to the people and is inhabited mostly by fishermen, hence the name Fisherman's Island. Stroll through the narrown streets and browse its typical shops.
Last stop in Isola Bella, Lake Maggiore's crown jewel with its unmistakeable silhouette like a ship floating on the waters. Lunch at Ristolounge Elvezia on the island and in the afternoon visit of the Borromeo palace with its countless art treasures and the baroque garden divided on ten terraces.
Dinner at your own leisure and overnight stay.
DAY 3
Breakfast in the hotel and check-out.
In morning, visit to the most romantic of the Italian lakes: Lake Orta!
The picturesque town of Orta San Giulio offers historical buildings with frescoes, cosy cafès and restaurants and you can't miss a visit to the San Giulio Island with the grandiose basilica.
Return home at your own leisure.
